Welcome to the website of Wild Harmony. The site is under perpetual development!

WILD HARMONY is a small, friendly South Brent based community choir, which meets regularly to share the fun of singing together and learning songs and harmonies from around the world.

Emily Roblyn leads Wild Harmony. Emily grew up in Canada and was encouraged to harmonise and perform from an early age so that singing is so much a part of her she doesn’t ever remember being without it. She is passionate about sharing her love of people coming together to sing and the magic of harmony.

The SONGS part of the website includes words of all songs we sing or have sung with Emily and collections of some earlier Wild Harmony leaders. This section been temporarily disabled to enable us to deal more formally with copyright issues and may be returned in due course with members access and a password.

[Until then you will not be able to use the following guidance:

To find a song, click on the ‘Songs’ tab along the top, then look at the list of songs and categories.

Most songs also have an attachment in Word with the lyrics for printing out if you wish.

Where we have recorded Wild Harmony singing the song either in performance or rehearsal that is also on the webpage - click on the music attachment

Wherever possible I have acknowledged songwriters and arrangers. My apologies for any omissions or errors.]

Virtually Wild Harmonyat 8pm: As we can’t meet in person to sing together, Emily is arranging to run Wild Harmony remotely via Zoom during the current situation. While not the same as being in the same room, it is a chance to connect with each other and continue to sing! Join Emily Roblyn for a sing and a bit of a catch up (you’ll have to bring your own wine though!). Details of how to join the Zoom sessions will be emailed out via the Wild Harmony mailing list. Please email John - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., if you would like to be added to the Wild Harmony MailChimp distribution list (only if you not already on it).

The first zoom practice enable you to familiarise yourself with the platform (hopefully in a fun way), learning a new song and singing along to songs that we know and love singing together. We will not be able to hear each other properly. (Unfortunately there is currently no program or app that can compensate for the time delay of wifi/4g and so you will all be muted when we are singing together and you will only hear Emily and the audio tracks that she will be playing.

Information about how you can pay Emily for individual sessions, or from April, for the term, will be made available. (Please remember that leading choirs is Emily’s income)

John Rawlinson

Wild Harmony is a small, friendly community choir, which meets regularly (usually fortnightly during term time) in South Brent to share the fun of singing together and learning songs and harmonies from all parts of the world. All are welcome – there is no audition and no requirement to read music as most of the songs are taught by ear.

Wild Harmony was started in the 1990s by Arabella Marshall and, after periods led by Susan Duncan, Nick Prater, Kate Howard, Fran Andre and guest leaders Roz Walker, Rosa Rebecka and Jackie Oates,  Wild Harmony is now led by choir leader and singer-songwriter by Emily Roblyn.

Emily grew up in Canada and was encouraged to harmonise and perform from an early age so that singing is so much a part of her she doesn’t remember ever being without it. She is passionate about sharing her love of people coming together to sing and the magic of harmony.

Our Friday sessions are 8.00pm until 10.00pm at Millswood Cottage, South Brent - Click on the 'DATES' tab for details of the next sessions.
