Welcome to the website of Wild Harmony. The site is under perpetual development!

WILD HARMONY is a small, friendly South Brent based community choir, which meets regularly to share the fun of singing together and learning songs and harmonies from around the world.

Emily Roblyn leads Wild Harmony. Emily grew up in Canada and was encouraged to harmonise and perform from an early age so that singing is so much a part of her she doesn’t ever remember being without it. She is passionate about sharing her love of people coming together to sing and the magic of harmony.

The SONGS part of the website includes words of all songs we sing or have sung with Emily and collections of some earlier Wild Harmony leaders. This section been temporarily disabled to enable us to deal more formally with copyright issues and may be returned in due course with members access and a password.

[Until then you will not be able to use the following guidance:

To find a song, click on the ‘Songs’ tab along the top, then look at the list of songs and categories.

Most songs also have an attachment in Word with the lyrics for printing out if you wish.

Where we have recorded Wild Harmony singing the song either in performance or rehearsal that is also on the webpage - click on the music attachment

Wherever possible I have acknowledged songwriters and arrangers. My apologies for any omissions or errors.]

- SALA KAHLE (stay well).

Wild Harmony: is having to adapt and change in response to the current situation. While we can’t meet in person to sing together, Emily Roblyn is running Wild Harmony remotely via Zoom. Whilst not the same as being in the same room, it is a chance to connect with each other and continue to sing! Join us for a sing and a bit of a catch up (you’ll have to bring your own wine though!). We will learn new songs and sing along to songs that we know and love singing together.

New dates and times during the crisis replace those previously announced for the term (NB slightly earlier and shorter times as on-line sessions are a bit more intensive than face-to-face sessions)

Friday 12 & 26 June; 10 July from 7:30 – 9pm

The Zoom sessions will continue unless/until the current lockdown situation is lifted. Details of how to join the Zoom sessions and how you can pay Emily (please remember that leading choirs is Emily’s income) are emailed out via the Wild Harmony mailing list. Emily would like to offer all these sessions free of charge to anyone who would like to come. However, if you feel like you would like to offer a donation for the teaching, please feel free to pay what you can afford (suggested donation £5). Please email John - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., if you would like to be added to the Wild Harmony MailChimp distribution list (only if you are not already on it). See: http://wildharmony.org.uk/.

Sound Song and Silence (‘Quarantine sessions’): On Sunday evenings from 7:30 – 8:30pm (June dates to be confirmed) (arrive 5 minutes early for a prompt start). If you fancy more singing in your lives, Emily is running evening singing sessions combining a mindfulness perspective with the experience of singing…. it can be heart-opening, heart-connecting and very uplifting. Maybe just what we need right now. It is a chance to sing some beautiful songs as a meditation and as a way of supporting us to be here with what is…. just as we are. We will learn a song or two, make some sound and end with a singing meditation. These sessions are open to anyone who wishes to come. A suggested donation of £5 for the teaching would be really appreciated but please come if you feel drawn to, even if you can't afford that right now. For details of how to access or donate, see: Facebook.
